The contrast between the two fabrics was the structural decision — lace through the bodice for transparency, khaki twill through the skirt for weight. The transition at the waist is where the silhouette either holds or breaks. The covered-buckle belt isn't decoration; it's the seam that makes both fabrics read as one piece.
